Your Ideal Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Astrological Sign

This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement across the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions before the title's release, to trainers forming strong opinions on the full lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.

Given many of the Super Forms showcasing unique appearances that highlight their personalities, one thought naturally: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for Aries, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, renowned for being fun, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes the Ram much more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Remain on the friendly side of either and enjoy a strong ally; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Similar to a devoted Bull, the reliable Heracross species, both in its standard and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the creature and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their position to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed love of snacks. Several previous Pokédex entries mention their craving for sweet tree sap and how it employs its appendage to hoard it everything, which is true Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Super Medicham

Look at this total royalty. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the life of any gathering, providing an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very simple to envision Mega Medicham captivating an whole Wild Zone with their stories. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to foresee an enemy’s future actions, which seems very similar to a socially-savvy Gemini.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

Cancer is widely considered as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for frequently becoming absorbed in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of energy, but it's too much for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab emotional outburst. It is also recognized for its capability to make a thundercloud over its very self – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is likely to do, it’s spoil their good time.

Leo – Mega Starmie

Oh, did you assume I was going to select the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your taste). Players couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the same energy a Lion offers to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a performance, even if for extraterrestrials.

Virgo – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly critical is clearly mirrored across this creature's whole lineage, from a perpetually shocked face like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s just like the symbol a Maiden sends to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a plan.

Libra – Mega Audino

Look at this sweet, sensitive being, who uses the feelers on its ears to tell how people are feeling by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and striving to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would probably appreciate Super Audino's skills. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to stress more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly sad backstory: Discarded as a toy, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. Being a Archer myself, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful little entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even mentions how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can think of.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to predict calamities ahead of time? That gives the identical vibe as a Goat, who tends to consistently think they’re correct. Interestingly, similar to a visionary Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very initial Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the ground floor of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Super Chandelure

Detached element Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame placement that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame category matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s overall intimidating aura is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Mega’s description says it “draws in negative energy and converts it into strength.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
