The title has never quite managed to match its best-known competitor in aspects of sales or players, but indicators suggest the latest version could reduce the distance.

Building On Earlier Errors

The new release arrives after the heels of the advanced the previous game, released four years ago to a unfavorable reception it had difficulty to overcome.

"We probably would not be able to make and develop Battlefield 6 lacking the learnings we acquired in the last release," she explains to our team.

Regarding the pressure on the team, Fas says: "We experience stress but at the same time it's motivating.

"This is a large project. It's likely the biggest that many of us have ever been involved in."

New Talent Contributes Fresh Perspective

That's certainly accurate of no less than one developer, lighting artist Vlad Kokhan.

The 21-year-old creates the lighting elements that influence the mood, tone, and narrative of the solo experience.

He undertook an work placement at Criterion before getting a role with them, and now operates on a part-time basis while finishing his VFX qualification at his school.

He says he's a long-time fan of the Battlefield series, and remembers experiencing the earlier title of the line at a friend's house when he was a child.

"It's very incredible seeing the advertising everywhere," he says.

"Understanding that I have contributed my personal touch into the game is very unbelievable."
